Volunteer Opportunities

As a reminder, families are asked to complete 12 hours of volunteer service over the course of the school year. Find ways to get involved and keep track of your volunteer hours below:

Get to know your Classroom

CLASSROOM PARENTS

We ask for a parent volunteer from each classroom to assist the teachers in special activities and to coordinate teacher gifts. If you would like to volunteer as Classroom Parent, please e-mail Ms. Sofia.

W&M STUDENT HELPERS

At WCCC, you'll see lots of fresh faces helping out in the classrooms. We're happy to be a work source for students at The College of William & Mary. Get to know our student helpers below.

PARKING & SECURITY

Designated short-term parking is available directly next to the Center for easy drop-off and pick-up.

The building is secured by cameras and card access. Parents and caregivers who do not already have William & Mary ID cards will be assigned cards for entrance to the facility.

Current board members

The Board of Directors serves as the governing body of WCCC. See below for a list of our current Board members and committee chairs.

Meeting Notes

The Board of Directors holds quarterly meetings to discuss Center news and updates. Meeting Notes are also posted on the Communications board in the main lobby.

BOARD POSITIONS

Together with the Executive Director, the board ensures that WCCC is financially stable and organizationally sound. Their responsibilities include helping set high-level policies, strategic planning, fundraising, and hiring/terminating the Executive Director. The Board is comprised of Elected  and Community Directors; a description of each is below.

WCCC COMMITTEES

While many of our committees are led by Board members, committees are a great way for our parent community to get involved! Please consider lending your expertise & insights to one (or more!) of our committees. This is a great opportunity to earn your required parent volunteer hours, while contributing to the continued success of WCCC! Learn more below:
